Gifted Assessment

Gifted assessments are a requirement for students to enrol in gifted programs within public school boards. Some private schools also provide gifted curriculum. These assessments determine if a child is performing significantly above age expectations in their intellectual reasoning and problem solving abilities. Results provide information on both the child's verbal and visual reasoning abilities. Depending on the requirement of the school board that the child attends, academic testing may also be needed as part of the gifted assessment. The gifted assessment is typically completed within one morning or afternoon session.
